Buccal Fat Removal

Overview:

Buccal fat removal is a specialised surgical procedure designed to enhance facial contours by reducing excess fat in the cheek area. This surgical  treatment gives patients a more sculpted and defined facial appearance, addressing the concern of full or “chubby” cheeks.

Treatment:

Buccal fat removal is a precise surgical procedure tailored to the individual needs and goals of each patient. During the procedure, which typically takes about one hour, Miss Berridge removes excess fat located in the buccal fat pads of the cheeks through small incisions inside the mouth. No external scars are evident.

Surgery is commonly performed under general anaesthesia and may be combined with other facial plastic surgery procedures such as submental/neck liposuction.

Recovery:

Following surgery, patients may experience some post-procedural swelling and discomfort in the treated area. These temporary side effects are common and can be managed by following a specific post-operative protocol which includes a soft diet and strict oral hygiene to promote healing.

Most patients can resume their normal activities within a few days, As healing progresses, patients will notice a gradual improvement in their facial contours, achieving a more defined and refined appearance.
